Grace, Grace, Grace. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. You have not been paying attention.

Counterparty failure isn't ALWAYS the problem with winning big in betting on the end of the world. Just look at Goldman's bearish bet on AIG!!!!! They got paid in full. You and me became the counterparty after AIG effectively defaulted. You know that the taxpayer has infinitely deep pockets and will always make good on naked puts sold against the too-big-to-fail. Until of course the tea-party movement starts to gather steam. Count me in baby.
