Kerry won't go unless the meeting is held in Paris or Geneva in a 5 star hotel.

It seems to me Obama put himself in the position he now poses by his embracing the conflict in that area only as a stick in the eye of Bush. By claiming support for the war in Afghanistan and speaking against the war in Iraq he wanted to appear that he wasn't simply anti-war.

His antics while visiting Pakistan and Afghanistan seems to have locked him in. Obama's nonsense of alleged torture have cut out many resources previously available.

Obama has placed himself in a precarious position. He can't please everyone and he had better not try to conduct the war in a half assed manner for the sake of our troops.
