I got something like that at a yard sale, and use it all the time in our graveled ditch where it keeps the weeds down pretty effectively.

Mine is a little different, in that the crossbar shown in the picture with the scalloped edge is a V-shape and doesn't have scallops. It functions the same though and is very efficient.
