I'll make a prediction.
You will never, EVER convince DPRK, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, India, Russia, China, or anyone else who might come up with one, to give them up by being nice to them. You can give them carrots but if you want anything to happen you're going to have to show them a stick now and then. Just like GWB did with Libya.
And in all likelihood, no combination of carrots and sticks will work on any of the nations I listed.
After all, what carrot do we have to offer? "We'll protect you"? Ha. They look at current president and say, "Right. YOU'LL protect us. What a laugh." |
