There are I hate to say shades of Michael Crichton in his report. Crichton said that their model predicting disaster was a 100 year model of which he wanted the first ten or twenty years . He too said if it wasn't correct in the first ten or twenty years what made them think it would be accurate 100 years from now. Of course they refused. Their refusal was all Crichton needed. It was strange indeed how he became a spokesperson against global warming. He was invited to represent the anti global side at major global warning debates. A novelist, screenwriter, director and Hollywood producer the anti global warming expert. A role he seemed to really relish. He was on the Charlie Rose TV show to publicize his new novel and even Charlie Rose was amazed that he was "The" Anti Global Warming spokesperson. Charlie couldn't help himself and several times took the conversation back to global warming. It was a very interesting hour if only for Charlie Rose's bewilderment. Charlie could not in any way comprehend how or why a liberal as educated as well as Crichton was could not be convinced that global warming was indeed fact. How could this educated liberal well educated person Michael Crichton not know global warming was indeed fact? What in the world is wrong with this person?

A very memorial TV hour for me at least. Second only to the William F. Buckley Jr., Gore Vida throw down.
