The recession through the eyes of an Italian restaurant.

I go to Bon Vino's most Mondays as Wednesday were Prince Spaghetti days for a whole generation. Two years ago, the Mondays at noon were full with 20-25 tables occupied waiting to taste the homemade pasta dishes like chicken, green beans and penne. Yesterday, No one person was at the bar. Usually the traders from the CME are having a liquid lunch. I was the only patron at the tables at first. Then three other tables were occupied. The owner who has been in business 43 years said it is the worst ever. I believe him.
I see it front of my eyes despite all the media trying to paint the depression is over and we are in 2007 again.
I remain 40% in and defensive in the sectors. I like having the money ready if the market drops a fat pitch across the plate. Maybe when the IL unemployment starts going down, it might change.
I would like a natural gas stock. My trader friend made a killing at 2.76 NatGas a month ago.
