<<...Too bad Verizon can't get their hands on the real deal...>>

I totally agree...and Apple is selling too many iPhones on the AT&T network -- it may have overwhelmed the network...as I have many friends and relatives that have bought iPhones in the last 18 months (and many of them are frustrated by dropped calls and spotty service in certain parts of the country)...Apple has to be VERY careful about it's profitable but exclusive relationship with AT&T -- if their telecom partner fails to deliver outstanding service and coverage then that may impact the Apple brand over time...IMO, it would be smarter for Apple to sacrifice a little on margins and open up the iPhone to other telecom carriers (like Verizon and Sprint)....Let the competition in the marketplace give the consumers A CHOICE and improve the options for the consumer...Verizon has the best national network and many businesses are hesitant to let their employees to get phones on another network -- if Apple wants to really increase penetration into the Enterprise they need to have a product on the best in class telecom network (that's where Motorola and Google have their new phone launching).
