They just haven't understood how out of step they are. The only question now is, WILL they be able to before some other party arises to take their place? How can they become more moderate and still keep their base crazies?

I think Obama should pass the national health care we all want, and screw the (R)'s, the insurance companies and the drug companies. With 51 votes in the Senate if that's all he can get. Even if it makes him a one-termer - but I actually think it would make him a national HERO to the majority of us. It would make him a GREAT president.
