Thankfully, I can't say I grew up in a dysfunctional family. Both my folks worked, but we always ate together and did things together. My brother and I had "chores" that were done daily. We had one or two horses, chickens and a dog to take care of. We went hunting and fishing with dad and grandfather and uncles. We camped on many of those outings. My dad and I built a nice boat from a Chris Craft kit when I was about 14 or 15. We enjoyed that so much that we built a second one for my grandfather. I feel very sorry for those who missed out on what my brother and I took for granted... and still talk about.
