Tenchuatsu, are you aware of how close we were to a depression worse than 1929. Did it ever occur to you to ask why every country on earth did what we did?

The spending you see is based, I am sure, on the same economic theories taught at Cornell university. It wasn't WWII that pulled us out of the great depression, it was the massive government spending that created demand.

If bush had been president just one more year I am sure he would not have engaged in the government stimulus you demean so much and instead of 10% unemployment we would have 25% unemployment and a depression so bad it would have dwarfed the great depression with starving children and total social chaos which would have weakened us even more, including militarily.

Now you may not believe in that economic theory, but the majority of the worlds economists do. That is why every country on earth did the same thing we did i.e. engaged in massive stimulus spending and lowering interest rates.

China's stimulus was threee times our based on GDP and they are recovering better than we are.

The whole friggen world did what Obama did!! What is the matter with you? I expect better thinking from you.

And we could have done much more if bush had not left us such a horrendous deficit.
