You obviously do not understand econ 101. How can you separate war form th spending??? What did the war do? It created not only full emplyment, but the fullest employment ever. Which gave people money which they could spend which created demand!

What do you think all that government spending did? It created massive jobs. For the first time ever both men and women were working full time and overtime.

WWII forced massive government spending which put tons of money into peoples pockets which allowed them to pay down debt and buy things and build new businesses and people to buy their wares. Demand!

War is the worst stimulous because it creates nothing.

Had the government had the option of not fighing WWII and spent the same amount of money on roads, bridges and infrastucture we would have done even better.
