I believe that if there is any return to gold as a standard, it will not be 1-to-1 but more like 1-to-10 or 1-to-20. Just enough to give the perception that there is some wealth backing the currency. Perhaps they'd even issue a new coin, a $20 silver piece that would have $1 or $2 worth of silver in it.

Whatever they do... they are letting the cat out of the bag, and historically, it won't go back in until there's a dramatic and historic upheaval.
