Not biased, just rational. Some people have heard of the tragedy of the commons, the USSR 5 year plans, the laws of supply and demand and what happens when governments "solve" problems. Some people haven't. <A little biased are we, Mq... want to filter content, charge extra to carry Skype, etc? >

You have obviously not heard of those things. Bing, Google, Cuil, Yahoo! should be able to find lots of information for you on them.

If you review a dozen years of posts by me, searching terms such as "Wacky Wireless", "current price is ..." "p-----g" "Babe the base station" etc, you will find reams of posts about the desirability of big open pipes, with pricing raised only to ensure the pipe stays open and running at full bore and is not blocked by too many packets all trying to jam through at the same time causing netilepsy [another term you could search] and failure and frustration for everyone and for some people actual death.

Mostly I have ranted about wide open low cost or free pipes in the Globalstar stream, but there are other places.

More rant here in the Frank Coluccio zone: Message 26041254
