I stopped to wonder today if the bankster bonuses weren't a stimulative effort on the part of the administration for the greater NY City area. The local government has gotten clobbered on falling income tax revenues.

I wondered about it but couldn't come to any conclusions. Makes for good conspiracy theory ruminations however.
