you are probably right. But I believe that the religious right has a grip on the republican party that will continue to alienate people like me who are more secular. The republican party disregards the Constitution almost as often as the democrats.

I don't see that changing, so that leaves me in the perpetual cycle of voting against candidates and never actually voting for someone.
