Bill- Great articles you found... these 2 paragraphs sum it: Diamond dumped S3 and its ViRGE series to embrace Rendition's low-cost V2100 for the latest generation of its Stealth line. Diamond continues to rely on 3Dfx for its Voodoo Graphics chipset, but it chose nVidia's RIVA 128 over 3Dfx's Voodoo Rush when it came to building a 2D/3D accelerator. STB has also left the S3 ViRGE camp. Like Diamond, STB is offering a 2D/3D accelerator based on the RIVA 128.
