RE: SRGN, Why buy the cow when the milk's so cheap. I've been most impressed with this thread and bought Ligand @ 16.50 for long term hold. SRGN is in real trouble financially and looking at their financials show why. High overhead and low research revenues last year plus a lot of shares outstanding and probably some very complicated arrangements with Boston U. If Ligand can get some proven (almost) technology from them through Lilly at a great price they would have to be crazy to take on the headache of buying and straightening out this company. If they bought it I would bet the shareholders might get a fraction of the current 56 cent trading price as the company just isn't worth it.
