Charles: excuse me for saying so, but...I perceive your last post as somewhat hypocritical...you lambaste and chastise mr. charters for his comments (and his nature?) and now you solicit a free opinion on your stock portofolio? it's apparent that you need to step back from the fray and take a clear, hard look at who you consider to be your 'friends and allies' whilst roaming the SI combat zone...to waiver from group to group out of convenience or whim displays vulnerability, lack of conviction, bad judgement (in choosing your comrades), or a general sense of not really knowing what game you think you are playing...and if you don't think gambling on the vse isn't a game, then you and the rest of your cronies have much to learn...i for one welcome an honest opinion on whether or not a stock is a scam run by crooks and crocodiles (why wouldn't everyone else?)...although, i shouldn't need to be told as most of them are...in fact, it seems the companies that are on the up and up, usually have no market...it's far better to know who's involved, so small fries like us betting with our ira money can leave the party while the music is still playing and there's someone (the greater fool, unfortunately) to take our place in the food chain for the crocs...take a look at the 3-year charts of any resource stock...nearly all have spikes and dump-offs...very few hold their highs...what does that tell you? tells me that far too many have unrealistic expectations...how can one win when one doesn't even know the rules of the game they play? and doesn't it seem obvious that those who yell the loudest and most obnoxious, rarely have substance to their rantings?...isn't that why they resort to threats, insults, swearing, name-calling and other childish retorts? because they have no tangible basis to argue, and probably do not possess the intellect or at least the civility to think before they blather?...why would you not appreciate the decades of experience in mining and geology mr. charters possesses, though he may not be reciting the incantations of your choice? who is better to analyze and intrepret the propaganda and misinformation of company news releases that the unknowing sheep so hungrily wait to be fed from their internet terminals? I may be dead wrong, but i believe in the integrity of echarters...his intellect and spiritual nature may be lost amongst the mass ignorance of si posters and lurkers, but i for one appreciate his candid and generous offerings...we ask, he answers, as best as he can...who else lays it all on the line? (if we want guaranteed stock picks, we should be getting jobs at cannacord and yorkton)...BTW, I seem to recall past communications with you on the Claimstaker thread (a very ugly company)- correct me if i'm wrong...and were you not touting the merits along with head cheerleader silviu moldan while i was trying warn fellow shareholders about the dubious crocs involved? I was fortunate to turn a profit, but unfortunately, the hype and incantations sucked in more than a few victims...any feeling of guilt here?...i don't believe you intended anything devious (silviu, is another story) but the results of such promotion amd mutual admiration back-slapping usually separates the blind sheep from their money (on the vse, the blind pig usually gets taken to the slaughterhouse, no golden acorn here)...that's how the game is played...why i still play is a sad commentary on my own frailties and stupidity...this is not intended to be demeaning or condescending, though i may have stepped on your toes (if so i apologize)...we have disagreed in the past, but at least there's no venom in our words...shows people can disagree without freaking out...never fall in love with your stock plays, be wary of your si 'friends'...hope we all have better luck in 98, let's try to learn before the money runs out...RS |
