I disagree. I believe the stock is down (and should stay down) because management's reaction to not properly managing expenses is to gut the company by laying off very talented people. For every person they lay off, one or two more will quit. It is very hard to keep or replace good people when you are laying off people and refocusing the business on less interesting (from a technical challenge standpoint) markets. Read reply-3383 for a great analysis of how SGI got here. BTW, I sold off my position in SGI yesterday morning to pick up CDN before their split.
