Yikes is right. It seems that everyone is "talking code" on this issue - including the media. Did you listen to the question-and-answer with Carney, after his BOC presentation?

Media questions sort of beat around the "what if" bush: "What if interest rates rise? Could we be in trouble"

Carney's answers bordered on non-committal; he said borrowers should be "prudent".

I can't be the only on who's noticed that in Canada, the effects of this recession (in most places, not all) have been almost invisible. Remember the question I sent you, after your travels out West?

When our biggest trading partner is in serious trouble, we should be too. But we're not - at least, not yet. When the world economy gets the flu, we should at least get the sniffles. But we haven't - at least, not yet.

There are plenty of alarmists out there, already. Don't want to cry wolf. But doesn't it seem that something isn't adding up?
