"If a dolphin was growing inside my friend’s womb, I would do everything possible to convince her not to have an abortion"

Well, that is really nice and kinda sweet. And she has every right to consider your wish for the dolphin or to ignore it. It is a part of her body and is essentially none of your business.

"While unborn babies are far more precious than dolphins for many reasons..."

Now the stupidity cuts in (it always does). It is implied that the author's feeling about what is "precious" is somehow to inform a supposed (but specious) social right to remove the inalienable rights of the pregnant woman. JUST STUPID. The mother can use the argument "precious"--she needs no other. The busybody mouthpiece CAN NOT. STUPID PERSON.
