Strange story. In order to bill Medicare it is not enough to "steal" a list of patients. To bill, one must be a licensed provider who was credentialed by Medicare. Sending 100's of millions in fake bills is impossible. I can assure you that way, way before they pay you anyplace close to a 100K, your patients will receive dozens of calls from Medicare to verify that they indeed received the services in question.

If you ask me, this story is suspicious. Probably, just part of the big propaganda campaign to demonize doctors, and - more importantly - to create a feeling that something drastic must be done, and immediately. What have we got to lose, since what we have is so horrendous?

Obamacare will make the boo-boo go away.
