Good question Peter. When the relationship with Infospiner began a while back I would have said it was critical. Since the aborted acquisition, I'm not sure what position that product has had within CNTR's overall strategy. With a lack of other things to blow the whistles about (Tomahawk a ways off, and SqlBase not being a glamerous product to tout), Foresite seemed like the only thing they had to "market" or make deals with. I've got to think that Infospinner is getting a bit of hubris built up about now and is perhaps thinking, "...maybe we don't need CNTR anymore..." Maybe they will try it on their own. Maybe they can make it, maybe not. I'm sure both parties have been reexamining the deal recently. If CNTR can't afford to push it "properly" anymore, Infospinner will probably look to another "high profile" tech company to push the product in the States. Maybe that's better for both companies... CNTR has been making attempts all along to add added value components to Foresite (3270 SIMM, etc). Got to keep those engineers busy. Good stuff to, but unless you own the underlying technology, not much of a marketing synergy (eww I used that word again). Maybe they could just sell these components to Infospinner for say 5 million or so, and call it a day... Use the money to finish up Tomahawk and pay the bills for a few months... Just my opinions and random thoughts... Any other ideas? GT
