It's not simply illegal immigration but also legal immigration, as well as rejection of Islamic ideology which was imported decades ago from Pakistan and elsewhere. <“Well, I’m concerned about illegal immigration, Islamists, the white poor, etc., and I’m not a racist so maybe the BNP isn’t either.”>
Our daughter, as English as a country rose and Devonshire tea, is a temporary immigrant, allowed to stay being married to a world class Geek of Chinese ancestry whose father swam to freedom from Mao's China and made it to NZ and whose mother's family also came to NZ long ago from China.
If our daughter illegally stayed, she would not be the problem. The problem is the alien cultures, wielding weapons and bludger mentality. There are enough local thugs wielding weapons and bludger mentality without adding to them. Some immigration is a problem, much of it is not and is valuable.
It's not about race, but culture and property rights. Immigrants don't become English, they keep their culture when they move around the world, adapting somewhat to the local mores but not a lot. Descendants change if they largely mix with the locals. But not if they have a critical mass for cultural maintenance.
It's about property rights. Countries have been built for centuries and to have the assets handed over to immigrants of low value for no payment is absurd and annoying. Tradable citizenships should be invented to finally abandon the idea of people as citizen serfs, mere state chattels for The White House to demand 3 months "service" for young people and to burden with any imposts they can dream up.
People should be able to sell up and leave. They can sell their house and they should be able to sell their citizenship ownership of collectively owned assets which they and their ancestors created. Immigrants could buy a citizenship. Instead, the lucky ones win a $million immigration lottery by subterfuge or by simply being valuable enough and meeting the rules.
The underlying problem is socialism and collectivist statism. Democracy is just a fig leaf.
Enoch Powell was right.
