In my opinion, the failure to supply and use multitudes of trained Police/Military dogs along the entire border area has been a gross oversight..!!!
There's no way in hell some wacko raghead could ever sneak across a border or up on a soldier on watch, a squad, etc., with his/their German Sheppards, Dobermans or a Pit Bull snoozing at his/their ankles. And, the dogs can smell IEDs, C4, etc., etc., far away - and "Point" them well before anyone would get close enough to get their arse blown up.
My purebred golden retriever, who ended up on our farm with my Dad, never had a days training in his life. But, he could flush, point, 'woof' or retrieve as the situation required with Field & Stream documentary level skill. A trained Military mutt would scare the holy living crap out of a scrawny raghead doofus - or eat him alive.
I'm all for more dogs, and less boots, plus implementation of more battlefield robots, UAVs, UCAVs, auto-detection telemetry, etc. All this stuff exists in quantity at DARPA.
Too bad bluster-boy OBlahblah, the BidyBowl Man, Hairy BS Kerry, Pukosi, Dingy Harry, et al, can't get their heads out of their butts and see the light of day - after the cigar smoke from their CLOSED DOOR MEETINGS clears out......
