Don't forget that deep mining is also very dangerous. Their strategy is not to mine at a loss, which is fine with me. They are being careful. Mining is not like printing, it's a difficult business. James Turk is on the board -g- If gold soars, they can ramp up the operations. Costs were much less back in 2000, but they soared due to inflation. Gold seemed to lag inflation mid-2000, so gold miners followed gold, but did not outperform it.
