uf: Verizon has a ROCK SOLID 3G network...and many people I know have been able to use EVDO in places AT&T customers could not pick up ANY signal. Now with the Alltel acquisition - they have some 99% of the US covered. If you want your phone to work where ever you go - you get Verizon. Remember that Verizon initially turned Apple down because of how controlling the iPhone maker is. AT&T was desperate for money, and the iPhone kept them afloat. AT&T put NONE of the money they made back into upgrading the network, and now they pay the price as so many iPhone customers are complaining about the quality of the service. They will bleed customers that want a working phone over to Verizon, and the Droid may help them do it.

I can't wait for Verizon to roll out 4G, then it may be over for AT&T, flat out over...Maybe I exaggerate <G> but AT&T's service is aweful and they have a serious network problem that they have FAILED to address...I tell you this from personal experience with AT&T -- and I have many friends and relatives with iPhones around the country (many love the gadget BUT they hate the AT&T service)...You would think Steve Jobs would get rid of the "exclusive" Apple contract with AT&T -- competition is always best...and the smart phone category will continue to grow around the world for years to come...fyi...
