Don't know if any remember me mentioning a friend who lived near us up at the river. He was the guy who injured his back jumping off a cliff skiing on a dare from his friends when he was 17, and had 7 surgeries and multiple problems ever since. I am very saddened to report, we found out tonight that he died at his home on the 20th of complications from diabetes and other ailments. His friend and care taker.......who we are also close to.......said Dave just wouldn't give up the sugar water, cigarettes and booze. This is a lesson for people everywhere. Don't take chances with your life, and if you find yourself in similar circumstances, take as good care of yourself as you possibly can. Dave was 51 and left behind a son and daughter. He'll have his ashes spread in the river soon.
