Dan- That is a colorful term to use, preaching...

But I think you are right... all compaines do it... Sun included. Microsoft has a hell of a lot of followers (i.e.-market share), so I guess their preaching is pretty effective. But unlike religion, they all actively preach against each other. But somehow, when that happens, it is not preaching, because, well... they are preaching, but not me... I'm telling the truth (i.e.- Sun). Yeah, right.

For me, I just want to know who is going to come out on top and make money for me. You read things like, "Well, Java is better for this reason, that reason." Or, "Microsoft's browser is so buggy." For me who cares, as an investor. As a technologist, different story.

But as an investor, I have no loyalties.
