<So you don't want to answer another simple question?>

Oh, I see now... I was in a hurry. Nice 'demanding' approach though. Cute.

< "Do you think God commands his servants to rape virgins in the bible?">

I didn't follow any of your and Solons discussion so I have no idea what passages or anything you are referring to... nor the particular verbage.

That said, most of it (probably, I didn't follow along) is nonsensical to me as IMHO the bible is a conglomerate of transcriptions and translations of writings by people chronicling discussions of discussions with other people... Including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO various important figures with important teachings. Much of The Old testiment is relatively 'low level' stuff with all sorts of "stories" (many including quite hateful accounts) with little relation to any sort of search for God.. I suspect including the passages Solon chose.

In other words the bible IS NOT GOD and so can't command anyone to do anything (actually God doesn't "command" anyway IMO, but that's something else)... unless that person has allowed themselves to deify a book. In fact the bible is not "written by god" and is not "the word of god" or anything else (see above). Any belief to the contrary is a misinterpretation of the situation.
