One good reason for hiring "radicals" is to appease the base. That's at least as plausible explanation as yours.

Avoiding ever communicating with anyone who is not a radical is appeasing the base? When was the last time Obama invited Republicans to the Whitehouse? Oh that's right it was about March or April when he told them "shut up, I won." or something very like that.

"Mainstream environmental protection? ROTFLMHO

The intent to destroy the US economy is not mainstream!"

You can't brush that off. Tell me how using market mechanisms to reduce dirty coal use isn't mainstream environmentalism or take it back.

I don't know where that came from. Where was there an attempt to demonstrate an intent to destroy the US economy?

When was the last time you saw soot emanating from a coal plant's smokestack? I am fairly certain it wasn't since President Bush took office.

Coal is readily available. When you draw from wind or solar energy you have to have traditional plants on hot standby so when the sun peaks behind the clouds or the wind dies everyone doesn't lose power.

There was a story a month or more ago on Compendium about how managing hydro plants became stressful with the advent of wind energy. They have to dump water over the spillway when wind is blowing and fire the turbines at a moment's notice when the wind dies.

Wind purportedly creates net energy gain around 10% of the boilerplate declaration.

Destroying the ability to build and use coal plants would destroy the US economy. Obama knows this. radical environmentalists know it.

The goal of cap and tax is to give radical greens control over industry and businesses.

The best bet for a label for him is "progressive."

If you won't admit to seeing the handwriting no matter how plain it is then explaining it to you is a waste of time and bandwidth. More people are seeing that Obama is a radical every day.

The exchange has also strayed mostly off topic.
