Looks like later in Nov. for more meaningful results (tho today's are certainly positive!). I really appreciate people's NewsRelease comments and observations on this thread. I hope we see much more of it! I remain very optimistic here folks.

I really think this find is a big deal. Last night I may have overstated my concern regarding Ashton's information witholding-itis, but it definitely is a concern.

Anyway, the inter-relation of the K14 pipes appears highly significant. Allan Kelly pointed the following out on the ABdiamond Forum:

Ashton's annual report states:

"The labratory is equipped with ... a one-tonne-per-hour modular dense media separation plant for macrodiamond recovery."

Hmm, 50 tonnes plus cautic fusion and observation....Yeah, that should take five months. Yeah right! We're being manipulated.

On a bright side, today's press release states that "K14, K14B and K14C represent ... one large, irregular and complex body..."

What does it mean? Well read on.

According to a background paper published by the NWT's Energy, Mines & Resources:

"The richest diamond mines in the world are the three-lobed Jwaneng pipe in Botswana and the two-lobed Udachnaya pipe in Russia, each with estimated in situ reserves in the order of 500 million carats. An 'industry expert' once suggested a value of US$74 billion for the Jwaneng deposit."

Let me see, 14, 14B, 14C ... how many lobes is that? I guess Mr. Hillier has good reason to not show his cards too early.
