Good read! Still hard to believe how AIG got so out of line with risk vs reward. Took down the whole company and tyet there seems to be little pressure to liquidate. It seems as if the government has provided capital to shore up those banks that wrote all the crap and now they're in a work out mode that ultimately will dilute bad banks forward earnings and cover AIG till a liquidation will make the government whole again. In all a long payout with out any real losers beyond those that fell out of existence. Some will recover ,ut never regain grandeur and others will get even bigger. I don't mind the one's that handled risk and reatined enough capital to prosper. It is more the natural rule of the jungle. Thanks for the post! Bob
