According to SI, the posts were removed only because Lew posted personal contact information, which SI views as an "invasion of privacy issue." I assume the information containing hedgy1's true identity, and hedgy1's and Steffy's addresses and telephone numbers, is what upset the applecart. I doubt if it was the info about CL and his girlfriend, as this had already been long disclosed and widely discussed on this thread.

Anyway, I e-mailed SI asking them to please include a specific statement in their "Terms of Use" that posting information like this is prohibited. I honestly did not think posting such information was an invasion of privacy (and I still don't think it is), but it's SI's website, and they can have whatever rules they want. It is only fair, though, they provide sufficient notice to users of what those rules are. I also asked them to restore Lew's posting privileges.

Regards, Otter
