You hate, hate paying taxes even if its for the common good. Syracuse is the only city I've been to that builds its downtown sidewalks out of asphalt because its cheaper than concrete. " Ted you are a moron. Asphalt holds up better in those winter conditions, salt breaks down concrete, the black asphalt absorbs solar heat and melts the ice and snow. The repubs use asphalt because they are smart, unlike you moronic democrats Idiot.....cinder block holds up better than wood siding. And yet, you don't see everyone's house built out of cinder block. Why? Besides, cement does just as well as asphalt when it comes to the salt.
