Pirah --

It is certainly becoming clearer & clearer that our various sources diverge. But how do we know for sure that Source A is closer to the "real truth" than Source B?

Morningstar gets its data right out of the yearly 10Ks. MarketGuide is a respected and widely-used source. The S&P reports are of course, prestigious -- and expensive, which is why I don't get them. And then there is Value Line. Etcetera.

I have no prejudice for or against any of the above sources. Do you have any concrete information as to why they differ from one another (different ways of calculating ratios, for example)? In other words, should we trust Source A more than Source B, and if so, why?

Thanks.
