Byrd,
Thanks for your very kind words. Yes, there is much to be excited about.
As you are probably aware, the 2009 Gilder Telecosm conference is coming up in the next several days. Terry Turpin, LWLG's optical computing guru, has spoke at this conference several times in the past. A synopsis of his speech in 2006 is as follows:
"Processing information with the speed and intrinsic parallelism of light. Living on the innovative edge of counter-terrorism. Moving optical processing, artificial intelligence, and cognitive computing from concept to product."
The synopsis from 2005:
"The hothouse military and intelligence market . Can the technology that enables intelligent decision making in complex environments, such as the defense community's mission-critical voice and video systems infrastructure, decreases costs, increase speed, and improve the performance and security of existing non-military communications networks?"
I sure hope that Mr. Turpin will attend this year's event. I am sure the the pied piper of the telecosm, Mr. Gilder, would be very interested in the revolutionary developments at LWLG.
