<<China has contributed little to improving security in Afghanistan, yet with the Aynak deal, stands to gain from the sacrifices made by the U.S. and NATO in troops and money.

"The world isn't fair," said Robert Kaplan, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Washington. "A worse outcome to staying and helping the Chinese would be withdrawing and losing a great battle in the war against radical Islam.">>

... in defense of team usa, after all, just because team usa messed up big time in trying to forward its imperial ambitions and screwed up the security situation (by first giving rise to bin laden, and then by not doing him in - how hard can it be to find a long bearded 6 foot 4 arab guy hooked up to a dialysis machine wandering in the hills of afghanistan?!) doesn't mean china should not take the blame for not helping team usa to encircle china with military bases.

and

we must fault china for fighting radical islam within its borders, and fault china for not doing same outside of its borders, and when china does send engineers to sudan, we must fault china for sending its military to sudan.

adore the great sense of shameless humor backing the media spin.
