I was once in a board meeting with a Democrat politician who had received a letter from a constituent, which he passed around the table. It was a general-purpose rant, one with no particular point I could discern. The last line of the letter was "I hope you get lung cancer and die". We took a couple minutes and discussed the letter, and to a man, everyone in the meeting -- all Rs other than the one guy -- harshly condemned the statement, as of course, did I. I just cannot imagine someone making remarks like those bentway and others do. It is disgusting. I know he does it for effect but I believe these people usually end up getting a big dose of whatever they dish out. I hope not.
