Hank & Hank,
You don't have to convince me, I do believe you. And if I, or one of the others members don't believe you, so what.
But it sure is a coincidence that you really shorted this one. Did you also enjoy the whole ride up. The most funny part was the George Soros"-rumour. I have never seen a stock risen so fast, and also have never seen a stock dropping so fast. Great graph.
Are you still short on CTXS, I'm long. I read your arguments on the CTXS-thread. Not strong, in my opinion. I think you are underestimating their fundamentals. Don't forget that MSFT had the intention of doing it by theirself. They don't do that when they think CTXS is a hype. But we'll see. Maybe we're both right, you short-term, I long-term.
I also would advice you to remain cautious. I really believe that we saw the bottom on monday. So there is little downside risk this moment. You should also agree that it is hard to predict how the market will move next weeks. We had two major drops last 1,5 years. The first august '96, the last april '97. In 96 we had a slow recovery, in april a quick one. You tell me what it will be now. And remember, december and january are usually good months (sounds like William).
I agree with you that it is a good strategy to sell (naked) calls. I certainly will do such things in the future. But for now it is to early. Still learning, you know.
Wish you all the best, you are a brilliant investor.
