I saw a segment of "American Greed" that featured a doctor that was SERIALLY defrauding Medicare and performing unecessary surgeries. He was a cancer specialist in Florida, who did MULTIPLE surgeries to remove skin cancer from his patients. One of his patients, a quite elderly gentleman, had had over 125 procedures done.

The doctor was turned in by his own staff! He did AT LEAST 5 procedures a day, billing Medicare for $2000+ a pop, clearing $10k a day, EVERY day, year after year.

The staff became on to him when they realized he ALWAYS found cancer with his biopsies (which he diagnosed himself) - he NEVER came up negative.
