Thanks for your response. Why VXtreme? If people like myself (majority) already have paid for and use Real Video why would you put VXtreme on your WEB site and rule out the majority the use of video/audio on your WEB site. Is it not better to let the market determine your standards rather than Microsoft. In addition, if the law and J. Reno have anything to do with curtailing Mr. Gates anti-competative marketing tactics and IE is not a standard for every desktop don't you think companies like Netscape - Sun - Realnetworks can have success based on their superior products?

Pointcast, as a user I ask you about the frequency of you updates. What is the reason you do not do the updates? Do you still allow Pointcast as your screen saver?? The reason I ask is becouse I am working on ADSL opportunities with GTE. I am like you I use to update several times a day (when I had a Dial up 28.8) and then it became the last thing I did at the end of the day. Then I got ISDN and have recently been updating a little more often (much easyier and faster with ISDN.) So part of my proplem was taking the time to dial up and hit the update button.

What I feel realy will make Pointcast/Push technology, Streaming Video and audio is the deployment of technology like ADSL. Since ADSL is a 1.5Mbs technology and is a constant connection rather than a dial up means, I can tell Pointcast to automatically update much more frequently and to get larger types of media. So wouldn't it be nice to have a combination of Pointcast and Realnetworks tied into a push technology?? Have Pointcast automatically go get and store my favorite audio broadcasts {PRN) and video broadcasts (MSNBC Strickly Business) of even your site, for that day in addtion to the other info I request without taking the time to manually do an update. Just a thought.
