In striving for a civil society we have ended up making a large portion of our population criminals. By making it clear that only certain people have to follow the rules we have fostered a disrespect for the law. Push people and they will push back. Put some cop in a position that must lead to thinking about his fellow citizens as the enemy and watch him crack. A fun game all around. alan.... there is no question in my mind, that in this lily white community, there was racism involved in the arrest of my BF and the leaving of my son on the streets... he was a 'minority' driving a very expensive sports car, pulled over for not using a 'signal' in a merge lane' and passed the field sobriety test, but was still arrested and hauled into jail with the INTENT of a blood test (which proved negative on all counts, bitch when that happens for the cops, eh?) they left my son on the streets to fend for himself (guilty by association?) they SHOVED me in the police station when i walked in to speak with my BF...and hey...it's all on tape.... the only question is do you want to expend the the cash to pursue the case....(we're not 'poor' so the poor victim defense doesn't work) i used to be a 'law and order' type who was willing to give cops the benefit of the doubt considering what they deal with, but after what i consider to be the racist treatment of my BF and myself, and my son, by association, no more..... these people need to be held accountable for their civil rights abuses PERSONALLY and not by the taxpayers...
