The US Constitution allows individual states to issue their own currency, provided it is in gold or silver form.

An Indiana state congressman has taken steps to do so.

Hurrah!

But let's see how far that goes, how much pressure the federal government puts on states that might want to use their constitutional right to mint gold and silver currency.
