If the real estate industry had not been so greedy in taking advantage of people selling and buying houses. I would say I agree. Commissions fixed at 6%------6% is a hefty amount of the final sales price of a home.

This is a not a stimulus but a tax credit much as a tax credit is given for weatherizing one's home to make it more energy efficient.

Does it really cost $43,000.00 per purchaser who utilizes the credit to be a first time buyer? I doubt it. I would like to see how he calculated the figures.

I would also say that there are few places in the USA where a house costs less than $100,000.00

If a young family with children can be helped---------to buy a home for the first time with a tax credit--- why not as long as they have the jobs and where with all to do so. The last part of that sentence is the key.
