I never argued that "the human dna carried by the mother as a potential offspring has or ought to have rights of a person". DNA is a molcule, it doesn't have rights. Human beings have rights.

I'm not talking about potential offspring but currently existing offspring.

"Specific plans" and "planning a crime" which you talk about in your post are very different than "will likely at some point develop an intent to do harm". The former is actual plans and an attempt to forward those plans in to action. The later is the possibility that someone might have a plan.

We prosecute people for committing crimes, or for conspiracy with actions to forward the conspiracy, not for just plans with no actions (that would be "thought crime"), and certainly not for the potential to have plans at some point (which would require us to arrest and prosecute everyone).
