It's an interesting argument.
My counterargument is that the original European settlers of America were descended from far western Europeans, western coast of Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands, various Scandinavian countries, and Engand.
Spanish first, English next.
But those people were descendents of 60,000 years of peoples pushed to the far west of European continent during various glaciation periods.
We (I am descended from these peoples) have an entirely different history than Asians. We walked west, you guys walked east.
My native American ancestors kept walking east, your ancestors stopped.
What is human nature? Are you and I exactly the same, genetically, culturally, socially. I would argue no.
We picked up Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Babylon, Athens, Sparta, Rome, Paris, London, etc., before we got here.
You picked up other stuff. Confucius. Lao Tze. Buddha. Genghis Khan.
We adapted to different ecological niches. We have evolved separately. You are not us.
We are not you. |
