Hi, the two wine threads have been dead. Thanks for resusitating this one. Thanksgiving, at least the traditional meal, is one that always divides wine lovers. I've seen pairings for this meal suggested from Sauvignon Blanc (no way as far as I'm concerned) to Gerwurtztraminer (maybe an Alsatian one, but, to me, yuck) to Cabernet to Zinfandel. Me, I generally do Champagne or sparkling wine. One with some backbone. I usually have an Oregon Pinot Noir around for those who think a wine's first duty is to be red. <G> We are doing a Thanksgiving beach picnic again this year so it will be a blush Champagne. I am thankful that I do not ever have to eat sweet potatoes with marshmallow goo on top or green bean casserole, ever again. MP
