"I would avoid DuBouef like the plague"..to me it is rather like drinking strawberry-banana kool aid. Nice wine for those who do not like red wine though. It is the White Zin of the red world. "Rhone style reds I'm not familiar with is to go with lower alcohol levels, say 14.5% or below. Not foolproof, but you'll avoid the worst monstrosities." All time worst headache from wine: Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Don't remember which one, but the headache lives on in memory. Second worst: Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay. Like eating a box of toothpicks. Both from about 10 years ago. Never since.
