LOL - some of the best writers are the worst when it comes to punctuation, grammar and spelling.

Knew one writer who would just write a stream without regard to following any rules and then turn it over to an editor to make the corrections.

Also knew a professor who taught English Lit, who had a TA edit the papers for punctuation, grammar and spelling because he was so appalled at the students lack of understanding of the language. He would then read it for content and comprehension. He flunked an entire class one semester.
